[:en]EPIC Translations is pleased to announce that Lindsey Corbett has joined the team as our Account Executive. In that role, Ms. Corbett will be primarily focused on converting leads to clients.
Lindsey Corbett is a native of Michigan. She graduated from Kenyon College in Ohio in 2014 with a B.A. in Chinese Art History and Asian Studies and spent several years living and working in Beijing and Taipei, deepening her study of Chinese folklore paintings during the Ming and Qing dynasties (from about the fourteenth to the early 20th centuries). While she had originally intended to pursue this interest, her career pivoted upon discovering her knack for marketing and communications, and she took up a position directing marketing strategy for New Zealand’s largest yoga and wellness company.
Studies in Beijing and Taipei sharpened her understanding of Mandarin Chinese, and Lindsey continues to hone her language abilities, studying Spanish and Chinese. Alongside her work with EPIC Translations, Lindsey also serves as Communications Director for the Detroit chapter of the National Association of Asian-American Professionals. In this role, she assists the organization in its mission of promoting the professional advancement and personal development of Asian-Americans.
Ms. Corbett joins EPIC Translations at a time when it is poised for phenomenal growth, especially in the East Asian market where her knowledge of Chinese language and culture will make her valuable to EPIC and its clients. As local economies continue to develop and new trade agreements foster commerce throughout the area, EPIC Translations anticipates that businesses around the world will see new opportunities for growth in the Asian region, and also greater value to the document translation services using human translators or machine translation tools that EPIC Translations excels in.
