EPIC Translations’ cloud-based project management system is live with 3 new features

Farmington Hills, Mich. – July 5, 2011 – EPIC Translations, a Detroit-area language services provider, has implemented three new features to its proprietary cloud-based project management system, EPIC Provisioning System (EPS), for the translation and localization industry. The announcement was made by EPIC Translations President Mostansar Virk.

“The need for dependable and quality-driven access to translation services continues to grow as SMEs position themselves to capture more of the international market share in accordance with President Obama’s National Export Initiative,” Virk said.

Businesses that have a relationship with a language services provider, such as EPIC Translations, have generally experienced an improved time to market in the competitive global marketplace. Language service providers can employ a multiple linguistic-based quality assurance flow that ensures accuracy in the translation and takes the target country’s cultural expectations and sensitivities into consideration.

The 3 new features are:

  1. Clients can now send an automated project request through EPS - Previously, clients had to send new project requests via e-mail and EPIC Translations then had to manually gather the project details such as start date, due date, and special instructions. Now clients are able to send new requests directly from EPS.
  2. Translation Memory (TM) is now download-able in EPS - Clients no longer have to request their company’s specific TM via e-mail. It is now updated and available for download in EPS. An added benefit is that clients are able to download and utilize this translation memory however they see fit.
  3. Clients can now receive completed files via EPS - EPIC Translations can now upload the completed and production ready files directly in EPS and the client will receive an email with the files.

The three features mentioned above will allow EPIC Translations’ clients to become more efficient and automated in their acquisition of translation services. For companies that have not acquired translation services before, a brief introduction to Translation Memory can be found athttp://epictranslations.com/2011/06/tm/
